The story begins with founder and owner Odd Natt och Dag, a big wave surfer when seas permit, an architect by profession, and a furniture designer by passion. After living and practicing architecture in Cape Town, South Africa, parallel to chasing the big waves on the Cape of Storms, he moved back to Sweden to begin the journey and dream of producing the finest Swedish furniture. The calling of chasing the biggest waves that the sea produces sparked inspiration and motivation to materialize this urge to push limits and find the ultimate balance. A drive from riding mountains of sea to producing furniture of the highest quality with the finest craftsmanship, done the real way for you and your home.
The name mö comes from a dual meaning: mö for möbler (mœːblər, Swedish for furniture) as well as mö for Mölle. Mölle is the coastal village on the Swedish west coast where Odd Natt och Dag grew up, as well as the home of Sweden’s best waves for surfing. Our philosophy of easygoing coastal living inspires us to bring the joy and pleasure from the sea to all homes — whether it be a coastal hideaway, a cabin in the woods, or in the heart of your buzzing city — our furniture is made for all spaces and brings Swedish character and harmony to any of your rooms.
Mö living starts our new wave of design with the beautiful coffee table Solvik. The name Solvik comes from a picturesque pebble beach in Mölle, famous for its beautiful scenery and most popular swimming spot for coastal lovers. Solvik brings the whole village together, a little like our table does as a centrepiece in your lounge to gather around after a long day at the beach, woods or buzzing city adventure. This area is also where our coffee table Solvik is made, as well as where we source the solid oak used in production to minimise transportation. We want to make beautiful furniture in a sustainable way and are committed to this as our core value, not as a sales strategy but as an underlying obviousness. We will very soon grow our collection to include more furniture for your selection.
